HAVE A QUESTION

What should I bring with my dog?

  • Whatever you think you dog will need or like. We ask that owners provide the dogs usual food stuff. It can be a good idea to weigh out dry food with your dog's name on it. If they like a certain food bowl, pop that in too.

  • We recommend you provide something that smells of you, such as a jumper / t-shirt etc. This helps to comfort them.

  • Their bed / blankets

  • We have plenty of water bowls and food bowls,

  • Your dog's grooming brush and spray if required,

  • Collar complete with a tag, harness, car harness and lead,

  • Please do not bring toys for your dog. Dogs can be protective over their things. Arguments can easily happen over a treasured toy. We provide balls, teddies and toys.

  • We ask that you provide us with details of your insurance, vet centre, emergency contact details and details of your dogs regular routine. This will all be taken during the meet and greet.

  • We will need to see and photocopy of your dogs vaccination certificate and details of their worming and flea routine.

My Dog has never been away from us, how will they cope?

  • Most dogs are very resilient and fit into our home really well. Other dogs don't cope at all without their owners. When we meet you we will ask a variety of questions and ask you to tell us as much as possible about your dog. It is no problem if after the meet and greet, you feel that your dog will not settle with us. Not every dog is going to be right at home with us and our dogs.

  • As well as the meet and greet session we do offer a free trial. We can then provide you with an honest assessment.

Can you care for just my dog?

  • Our home cares for up to 5 dogs at any one time, we can offer a 1-1 service. Please check for pricing and availability.

  • Should you need help we can always arrange to visit your dog in your home multiple times per day. Please check for pricing and availability.

What should I Look for in a dog care provider?

  • Ensure they are licensed with their local Council

  • Check they are fully insured

  • Ask how long they have been trading

  • Ask about relevant experience

  • Ask if they have another job alongside caring for dogs

  • Ask what relevant qualifications they have

  • Ask to see reviews or even better, speak directly to another client

  • Do your own check on reviews, Google, Facebook etc.

  • Make a list of questions to take with you for your first meeting

  • Go with your gut instincts

  • Get all the paperwork you will need e.g. Terms and Condition, Animal care policy, vet release, assessments etc these will be filled out during your meet and greet and also available on our website
